Services
Every service starts by understanding what you are experiencing and what you need. Open each section to see how we work.
History-taking is a central part of the consultation. We want to know what you notice, when it happens, relevant visual and general history, medication, work, screen use, driving and what you expect from your vision.
We then assess visual acuity, refraction and the tests needed to understand distance, near and intermediate needs. We are not just looking for a prescription: we want to understand how you see.
We assess the anterior segment and posterior pole, including the crystalline lens, optic nerve, macula, retina and other relevant structures. Our assessment includes intraocular pressure measurement and retinal photography.
We look for signs that may be associated with cataract, glaucoma, AMD and other basic retinal alterations. This does not replace medical diagnosis: we examine, assess, explain what we see, advise you and refer or guide you towards ophthalmology when appropriate.
We assess how both eyes work together: alignment, convergence, fusion, accommodation and binocular coordination according to symptoms and needs.
Binocular assessment is not the same as vision therapy. We first identify what is happening and then explain the appropriate management options or next step.
Every fitting includes assessment, parameter selection and ocular-response follow-up.
We select the design around prescription, visual behaviour, usual working distances, frame and lifestyle. Screens, driving, office work, reading, dynamic use and specific needs may require different solutions.
Once the frame is chosen, we take the centration and personalisation measurements needed for the design to work in real life.
Prescription and ocular health first. Then we choose the frame. With it fitted, we take centration and fitting parameters and, where appropriate, use Visioffice digital measurement. We select the lenses around your needs and finish with mounting, adjustment and final checks.
